India, France sign MoU on cooperation in IT
India and France have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on, institutionalising a framework for cooperation and collaboration in the Information Technology sector. The MoU which formally establishes a working group on IT, will focus primarily on, high technology activities in the IT sector. The MoU, while recognising the extensive trade between the two countries in the IT sector, underlines the need to tap the capabilities and opportunities in a more focussed and comprehensive manner.

Vertical Asia invests $2 million in Asia Cybernet
Vertical Asia Inc, a $10 million company headquartered in Hong Kong has funded Asia Cybernet Ltd (ACL), a Delhi-based company, to establish wireless practice centre in India. Started in March this year, the development centre will provide Web and wireless solutions in the field of Messaging and WAP-enabled services. ACL will also be product development centre for Vertical Asia's global activities.

INS e-Solutions Ltd to launch autopartsjunction.com
Delhi based INS e-Solutions Ltd will be launching their B2B2C vortal for the automotive component industry next month. Called autopartsjunction.com, the site is being positioned as a venue for buyers and sellers of the automotive industry to conduct businesses. This is primarily focused at the component manufacturers and traders. The objective is to create a community of players in this segment. Autopartsjunction.com will allow its members to display products and specifications on-site.

indya.com to add new channels
indya.com is expanding its user base with the launch of more than eight new channels and services, to cover a wide canvas of demographics, needs. The range of services and channels on indya.com now also include Menz, Fundoo (kids channel), greetings, eforms, Yellow Pages, Bombay Local, Health, Art and Free Downloads.

Tune into the local Buzz
Internet's postman of choice, BuzzCity.com announced its entry into the India market in collaboration with e-solutions company 4Cplus.com. The Delhi-based company will be responsible for creating and maintaining the Indian version of the service, India BuzzCity. Conceived in 1999, BuzzCity.com uses a unique tracking technology to deliver customised content to subscribers through e-mail and wireless alerts.
