EDS launches solution based on Microsoft's.Net platform
EDS on Wednesday announced at Microsoft's Enterprise 2000 event the launch of E.store Xpress, a readily deployable, off-the-shelf solution to address the burgeoning online shopping market. E.store Xpress has been built on the Microsoft.NET platform, including Windows 2000, SQLServer 2000 and Commerce Server 2000. EW.store Xpress will allow retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and distributors to implement sophisticated, fully functional e-commerce storefronts on the World Wide Web.
MTNL employees stage dharna
Employees of Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Ltd (MTNL) on Wednesday staged a dharna to press their demands for payment of bonus based on profits of the corporation. "MTNL employees should receive their wages and other service conditions as PSU employees as they were absorbed from department of telecom (DoT) in 1998," a statement issued by MTNL Employees Union and MTNL Mazdoor Sangh said.
