Microsoft, Commerce One in global alliance to drive B2B e-commerce adoption
Microsoft Corp and Commerce One, a provider of global e-commerce solutions for businesses, on Wednesday announced they are expanding and elevating their longstanding strategic relationship to collaborate on delivery of the industry's next generation of B2B e-commerce solutions worldwide. Commerce One and Microsoft will align on a global go-to-market strategy to drive the growth of e-marketplace adoption, including the integration of key technologies, collaboration on XML standards, global marketing and sales initiatives, and joint development programs. Obongo Inc targets $40 m Indian ASP market
Obongo Inc, a $100 million Internet company based in Silicon Valley on Wednesday announced its intention to target the $40 million Indian ASP market. Obongo Inc also announced its tie-up with Quarktek Software Pvt Ltd to provide services such as customer support, quality assurance and site integration to Obongo's US operations.

Close on the heels of announcing its decision to wind up Electronics Trade and Technology Development Corporation Ltd (ET&T), the government said on Wednesday that the IT education and training courses, currently being conducted by the company through franchising, would continue.
