IT heavyweights to participate in Bangalore IT.com
Some of the leading information technology enterprises, besides three key bodies involved in the development of the sector, will participate in the Bangalore IT.com, being considered the largest IT forum in Asia, which begins here on November 1. Eleven Indian software companies will showcase their strengths in the IT sector at the three-day Frankfurt Banking Technology Fair beginning October 31. There will also be a seminar of eight sessions covering various topics. SSI Technologies, Polaris Software Lab India Ltd, CMC Ltd, Pentasoft Technologies Ltd and DSQ Software, according to Mrs Shammi Nagpal, managing director, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India among others will participate in the fair.
Eonour Software in tripartite deal to offer turnkey solutions
Chennai-based Eonour Software Ltd has entered into a tripartite agreement to provide end-to-end turnkey solutions for their existing and future clientele, according to a Eonour Software press release. Eonour provides B2B e-commerce technology solutions, Acer specialises in hardware and peripheral manufacturing and RSCG Interactive is in Internet branding, marketing and front-end design and development.
Cerebra Integrated Tech in JV with Firstsense of Australia
Bangalore-based Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd has entered into a joint-venture with the Australian firm Firstsense. The JV hopes to tap the business opportunities in Australia and New Zealand and neighbouring countries. Both companies have equal stakes in the JV but Cerebra India will be the exclusive IT partner in India for Firstsense.
National Geographic to launch India Diaries on Nov 5
The National Geographic Channel will launch an India-specific series called India Diaries on November 5. It's a six-part series which journeys into the heart of India. The programme has been shot by famous photographer, Mr Aditya Patankar, and the script has been written by award-winning British writer, Mr Mark Shand. In the series, both Mr Patankar and Mr Shand have recreated the magic of their travels, from the deserts of Gujarat to the forests of Arunachal Pradesh.
Government permits second STD/ISD connection for PCOs
The government on Wednesday allowed the franchisees of long distance (STD and ISD) PCOs to take a second connection at the same location as this will reduce the long waiting time, especially during concessional hours.
