Mumbai, Oct 26: The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), the Silicon Valley-based network of entrepreneurs and professionals which had started its activities in India last year, plans to hold the first TiE conference in India - TiEcon India 2000 - here later this month.The conference will feature leading overseas angel investors like Kanwal Rekhi, Pavan Nigam, BV Jagadeesh and Prakash Bhalerao. Among the Indian VCs who will be addressing the sessions are Abhay Havaldar of ConnectCapital, Neeraj Bhragava of eVentures, Bharat Kewalramani of Indocean Chase, Sudhir Sethi of Walden, Ashish Dhawan of Chrysalis Capital and Mahesh Murthy of PassionFund.
The subjects for the sessions range from Emerging Opportunities in the New Economy to Creating an Enterprise: From Napkin to Business Plan to a session on the entertainment industry to one on Incubation, Financial, Legal and HR issues.
KPMG will moderate a session on presentations by about eight CEOs.
