MM Forging posts lower net in Q2
The Chennai-based MM Forgings Ltd has registered a net profit of Rs 1.81 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2000 over a net sales of Rs 18.63 crore. The corresponding figures for the same period previous year were Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 18.94 crore respectively, a statement issued by the company said. The total income of the company, including revenue from other sources, during the period stood at Rs 18.66 crore (Rs 19.01 crore). The total expenditure was to the tune of Rs 15.50 crore during April-September 2000. The company has made provision for interest and depreciation to the tune of Rs 0.49 crore and Rs 0.85 crore respectively, the statement said.

Hatsun Agro posts 182.69% jump in net
The Chennai-based Hatsun Agro Product Ltd has posted a 182.69 per cent growth in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2000, at Rs 0.84 crore as against Rs 0.29 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company also posted a 48.94 per cent increase in its turnover for the period at Rs 32.99 crore, compared to Rs 22.15 crore in the second quarter of 1999
