Mumbai : European fund Ant Factory, which recently set up base in India, has taken a 20 per cent stake in Rave Technologies, a software services company for an undisclosed sum. This is Ant Factory's third strategic investment in India.Rave Technologies will use this capital to create "world-class infrastructure and add experienced senior management staff to accelerate growth", according to Mr Anand Jhaveri, managing director, Rave Technologies.Mr Jhaveri adds, "Right now we have a strong presence in UK, in one technical sector dealing with a specific customer segment, the idea now is to move into different spaces geographically and technically. Antfactory has a strong presence in Europe and will add significant value in the areas we operate in."
Rave Technologies specialises in the development of Web, windows, and client/server applications. Mr Jhaveri said that they will look at other Operating Systems to broaden their base. Once broadband takes off, he said that the ASP model would be the thrust. They are looking at other platforms such as UNIX, LINUX as well as wireless devices.
