Digital India unveils solutions centre in B'lore Digital India, a globally focussed software services and exports company, on Wednesday announced the setting up of an operational solutions centre for telecom carriers on Nortel Networks' `Preside' platform. The solutions centre in Bangalore was inaugurated by Mr Srikanth Kannankote, president Nortel Networks, professional solutions group.Phase I of Escotel's GSM network upgrade completed Lucent Technologies has said it has successfully completed phase one of a $35 million expansion and upgrade of Escotel's GSM mobile network in all three circles where it operates. Japanese investment needed in telecom: Paswan India needs Japanese investment in telecom in a big way to take India's teledensity to 15 per hundred people by 2010, Communications Minister Ram Vilas Paswan told the Japanese telecom industry on Thursday.
