Sorab Mistry to head IAA India Chapter Sorab Mistry, chairman & CEO of McCann-Erickson, India, has been appointed President of the India chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) for 2000-2001. The IAA, with a membership of 5,400 across 95 countries, is the only global partnership of advertisers, agencies, media and marketing and communications professionals.The India chapter has 61 members. Mr Mistry is also Area Director, South Asia and Executive Vice-President, Asia Pacific, of McCann-Erickson Advertising. With over 27 years of experience in advertising, Mr Mistry was instrumental in bringing the Advertising Effectiveness Awards, popularly known as Effies, to India last year.
