Ejourno woos Indian scribes
ejourno.com, the Web site dedicated to Indian journalists, on Tuesday announced that along with the IT education company IIS Infotech, it will distribute gift vouchers worth Rs 0.5 million amongst its ejournos to be used against various Internet-based courses. All ejournos will receive gift vouchers worth Rs 1,000-each, which can be used as credit for any of the courses on offer from IIS Websity, which is the Web and Multimedia academy of Education Solutions Division of IIS Infotech Limited. Courses on the offer include: Internet awareness for beginners, Web designing, Web development, Web administration, e-commerce, and m-commerce.

NetKracker the best ISP in India: Chip
Chip Bangalore-based Internet Service Provider - netKracker - has been voted the best ISP in the country for its speed, support, features and availability. This was on the basis of a poll conducted by Chip, an information technology magazine. The package offered by netKracker includes a comprehensive user manual and a CD containing dialler software, browsers, Acrobat Reader, CuteFTP, DirectX 7, Getright and WinZip.

The survey was conducted in eight major Indian cities.

RightServe tops in online, support service: eIMRB
RightServeTM has been ranked India's best online advertising support service by eIMRB, the online research arm of market research firm Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB). The eIMRB survey, spread over Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore and Hyderabad, revealed that Indian advertisers consider use of services like RightServeTM, an effective way of advertising on the Net, which is increasingly becoming an effective advertising medium.

Intel lab at IISc
Intel Asia has set up an Intel laboratory for Internet Technologies and e-commerce at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore to support post-graduate courses. The Intel lab would support highly specialised and rare areas of investigation in the fields of Internet technologies, network programming, cryptography, information retrieval, intelligent agents, software architecture, supply chain management and business to business commerce.

Microsoft picks Seagate as hard drive supplier for Xbox video game console
Seagate Technology has been chosen as a strategic supplier of hard drives for Microsoft's future-generation Xbox video game console, due to hit retail stores in fall 2001. ITI presents dividend cheque
