Mumbai, Nov 7: Madhya Pradesh has appointed Feedback Ventures Group to formulate a long-term economic development programme for the state. Feedback Ventures, country's leading integrated infrastructure development group, has been selected to work out a comprehensive economic development policy (EDP) for the state.The group has extensive experience in project development consulting. It has successfully worked in the projects of state governments of Punjab, Karnataka, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh.
It has been actively involved in project identification and strategic consulting, engineering and project management, and funding and development in the core and social infrastructure sectors.
Feedback Ventures has also been mandated to help the Madhya Pradesh government in actively implementing the programme. The comprehensive EDP will cover various sectors including industry, agriculture, rural development, human resource development, information technology and infrastructure. The economic development policy has aimed to improve the industrial climate and the infrastructure base, and they suggest to carry on an extensive reform programme for overall economic development of the state.
Feedback Venture's chairman Vinayak Chatterjee said, "There is a paradigm shift in the economic development strategies. Against the traditional focus on industry as the key driver of economic growth, today states need to focus on agriculture, industry and service together. The entire exercise requires a well-orchestrated implementation for enhanced economic value addition."
