NCR launches new products to enhance FI operations

Mumbai, Nov 7: NCR, global leader in self-servicing products and solutions in a wide-ranging area, is launching a range of new products for the domestic market.

The new products, ranging from web kiosks to data warehousing, is targeted to improve the operations of banking and non-banking financial institutions.

These products will enhance not only the banking operations, but also it can be applicable to reduce the inconveniences and hassles of buying railway tickets, movie tickets etc.

The bill payment application on ATMs will take care of requirement of the users in a network environment. This application can be implemented by using bank's existing ATM network as well as new web kiosk solution, another new product of NCR.

Railway ticket application through kiosks or ATM will provide the benefit to the banks customer to buy ticket without going to the counter. Banks can add to its non-banking range of services through kiosks or ATM. Financial applications, such as mutual funds transactions, can be done by using these products. Mutual funds application through kiosks allow the investors to transact the units on a self-service terminal.

Says NCR's country manager and director (financial solutions group) Loney Antony: "We have organised seminars and road shows to make the banks and other institutions aware of the new products.

Particularly foreign banks have shown interest in these products. However, the domestic banks are yet to get used themselves for these products. "But I feel bullish about the domestic banks", added Mr Antony.
