PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
New Delhi: Sony Entertainment Television (SET) said on Tuesday that it has begun fresh negotiations with Pentamedia Graphics to Webcast three of its channels on the latter's streaming portal numtv.Com as pay channels."We are discussing to get a pay revenue, so that every viewer of numtv.com pays for accessing these Sony channels," chief executive officer of set Mr Kunal Dasgupta told the press here.He denied reports that the deal had fallen through, saying that talks were very much on and streaming will begin once the pay channel revenue model is finalised. Industry sources had earlier said that the SET-Pentamedia deal, wherein the three Sony channels: Sony Entertainment, Sony Max and AXN were to be available live to users from October two, was on the rocks due to differences between the two partners on the revenue-sharing issue.
