Mahe to make foray into Lanka, Dubai & Uganda
Mahe will invest Rs 150 crore in setting up medical, dental and technical educational institutes in various parts of the world including Sri Lanka, Dubai and Uganda. Mahe has recently set up a large medical campus in Malaysia (a joint venture with the state government of Melaka) where the students study the initial two-and-a-half years in India and the remaining three years in Malaysia. The campus in Malaysia was almost ready and the first batch of students have already come back to Malaysia after finishing the first two-and-a-half years in India, he said.New campuses in Dubai, Sri Lanka and Uganda were on the drawing boards. They would be in the areas of medical, engineering and information technology. ``We will enter Uganda in two months with local partners,'' Dr Pai said.
