Chennai : Ibhar Software Pvt Ltd, the Chennai-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution provider, is planning to expand its presence in Europe and within a year in the US to notch up sales to $10 million.It is planning to raise $2 million in the first phase through strategic investors to upgrade facilities in India and product channels in Europe and in the second phase $5 million for value-added marketing and awareness creation in the US, Mr C Bernard, managing director, told The Financial Express.Ibhar Software has a strategic partnership with Mercuri International for its European and Australian marketing. It is in the process of identifying similar partners in the US. The company has an alliance with Saffron Inc to market and support its CRM solutions in that country.
The expected net result of this market expansion is a jump in sales to Rs 45 crore ($ 10 million) by 2002. Sales in 1999-2000 were Rs 2.20 crore. The current year expectations are Rs 6 crore. The sales surge is to come from the new partnerships and consequent access to large number of customers in Europe and the US.
Mr Bernard hopes to make Ibhar Software products really the chosen one (the literal meaning of the Hebrew word `ibhar' is the chosen one) among customers across the globe owing to their adaptability and ability in building bridges with the existing ERP products. There are four different business models to suit big enterprises, small and medium segments, sales professional and personal with prices ranging from $1200 to $20.Set up in 1993, Ibhar software Pvt ltd launched `Ibhar Sales', a unique sales force effectiveness solution product in 1998. It is available on Standard, Outlook, Web-enabled and Exchange-based versions.
Last year, the company launched CRM solutions, which include tools such as `Ibhar Sales', `Ibhar Telesale', `Ibhar Direct Mail', CRM enablers for back-office systems and `Ibhar Customer Services'. Ibhar has marketing alliances with Microsoft and Sonata Software in India. In June 2000, Ibhar together with Mercuri International opened office in Australia and it already has seven customers there and plans to grow further.
