Tie set to open chapter in Calcutta The Indus Entrepreneurs (Tie), a US-based organisation of entreprenuers of South Asian origin, has undertaken plans to spread its network in the country and will open its chapter in Calcutta soon. The organisation, which provides a platform to its members for advancement of entrepreneurship, particularly for its companies, has already set up chapters in five centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.Brazil lauds India's IT initiative The president of Brazil, Mr Fernando Henrique Cardoso has recognised the efforts and achievements of India in IT sector. Mr Cardoso was apprised about the India's agenda to take IT to the masses by the Indian information technology minister, Mr Pramod Mahajan. He was in Brazil recently to promote India as an IT destination. Udayan Care launches Website for orphans Udayan Care on Wednesday launched its Website udayancare.Org in a bid to inspire people to work for orphans.
