Unichem, Torrent join IPA
The Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) have been strengthen further with the entry of two more members Unichem Laboratories and Torrent Pharmaceuticals. The total membership of IPA now stands at 11, and is in a position to demand more representation at various government and industry levels. The IPA alliance now commands a 30 per cent market share as per ORG survey in the domestic market.Bausch and Lomb launches CD
Bausch and Lomb have launched their `Healthy eyes CD' in India in line with their series of activities organised around the recently observed World Sight day. The CD is priced at Rs 199 plus taxes and proceeds of the sale would be donated to the Dr Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital.

HLCL net profit at Rs 20.4 cr for Q3
Hind Lever Chemicals Ltd (HLCL) has posted higher net profit of Rs 20.4 crore in the third quarter, as compared to Rs 6.5 crore over the corresponding quarter last year. However, turnover declined to Rs 303.3 crore as compared to Rs 369.5 crore during the same period.
Corning Intl launches SunSensors Corning launched on Tuesday, an unique range of plastic photochromatic lenses in India called SunSensors. The photo-chromatic properties of the product enable the lenses to quickly adjust to all variations of light. Corning International's total revenues last year were $4.7 billion.
FIEO gets new director generalRanjit Lall has been appointed director general of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO). Mr Lall assumed office on Wednesday, according to a FIEO press release.HM exports RTV to BangladeshHindustan Motors (HM) Ltd exported the first consignment of 12 rural transport vehicles (RTV) to Bangladesh from its Pithampur plant near Indore on Wednesday. "While continuing to enhance the business with HM's Uttarpara and Chennai car plants, the Pithampur plant has plans to grow on a two fold strategy.
