WB cabinet ratifies land-allotment for Wipro Ltd The West Bengal cabinet ratified the allotment of twelve acres of land to Wipro Limited at Salt Lake, on Tuesday. After a meeting at the Writers' building here, chief minister Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said Wipro had already taken possession of the land for setting up its unit. The Indian computer giant will set up a call centre at Salt Lake at an initial investment of Rs 40 crore.
