Eenadu TV moves to Kannadiga houses

Hyderabad : Coming Sunday the Hyderabadi television channel, Eenadu TV, has some great moments for Kannadigas. The channel is moving to Kannadiga houses with its enchanting programmes comprising eternal classics, mystery and thrillers.

Eenadu television network, the most popular language television channel in Andhra Pradesh, has successfully launched two language channels one each for West Bengal and Maharashtra, it is now the chance of Karnataka. The channel, ETV Kannada, is being launched on December 10, 2000. A 24-hour new ETV Kannada channel, positioned as "Namma Channel" provides a host of programmes most of them focused at women, children and youth, said the channel officials.

Eenadu group, having strong brand presence in the print medium, has ventured into television industry as a regional channel through E-TV, a Telugu entertainment satellite channel. Recently the group has launched two regional channels-ETV Bangla and ETV Marathi.

According to the officials, the new Kannada channel will feature hourly news bulletins besides a variety of serials both dailies and weeklies, talk shows, film-based programmes, musical programmes etc. All these programmes will be uplinked from its own earth station situated at Ramoji Film City.Besides Kannada the channel is proposed to launch Urdu and a host of other language channels in the near future.
