Fuji Xerox, jointly owned by Xerox and Fuji Photo Film Co Ltd, also unveiled a global knowledge alliance at the meet. Mr Brown is Xerox's chief scientist and former director of its famed Palo Alto Research Center. Mr Kobayashi is chairman of Fuji Xerox and a member of the Xerox board of directors.

Techies 2000 awards to be announced soon
In a manner akin to that of the last three years, the IT division of Media Transasia is again set to host its annual, popular IT award ceremony, `Techies 2000'. The IT and Telecom excellence award winners have been carefully chosen after sifting out over 3000 responses obtained through a nation-wide survey and are the ones that have withstood the test of preference as the user's choice. However, this survey was not merely based on the reader's perception. It was a random selection based on methodology which includes a range of parameters like product or services features, quality etc.
