New Delhi: Although exhibitions are hardly ever the right platform to launch products and services, Mega Write was an exception at the IT World 2000. A group of students who got together to form a company called Mega Write, chose this exhibition to launch several portals. Among these were dilli-haat.com, delhidoctors.com and delhihospitals.com.While dilli-haat.com was launched on Thursday, delhidoctors.com and delhihospitals.com would be launched on Friday. Dilli-haat.com, which was inaugurated by the Tourism Minister, Dr Narendra Nath, is a cyber tribute to the traditional Indian craftsmen, according to an official with the portal.
It is a cyber approach to reach millions of people around the globe and invite them to visit dilli-haat.com, he said. The portal has sections on food, festivals and facilities related to Delhi. It's a Delhi tourism project for the upliftment of the traditional Indian art and craftsmen.
Regarding delhidoctors.com and delhihospitals.com, they are both medical portals, as the names suggest. At present these are information Websites, which will offer value-added services at a later stage. For these two sites, Mega Write wants to enter into alliances with agencies such as medical associations and also with senior doctors. But the problem, according to the people behind these portals, is that these agencies are asking for huge royalty.
Among the prominent people who're behind the hospital portals are Dr Anil Bansal, Dr Vineeta Jain, Dr Vimesh Jain and Dr Neeta Mehta. These people are offering their services free of cost in terms of giving out information in their specific areas. Mega Write is also in the process of forming a bigger network with the medical community and putting together information on the NCR region.
