Bangalore : The Bharti Mobile promoted AirTel cellular service is all set to go in for a repositioning of its brand image. In line with this strategy, the company's new brand vision will focus on the `Touch Tomorrow' vision as the leading theme, while `The Good Life' campaign will focus on the customer-centric approach of AirTel services.Speaking at a briefing, Bharti Mobile Ltd Karnataka CEO Mr Jagdish Kini said that the `Touch Tomorrow' vision was aimed at projecting the new generation of mobile communication and services.
As part of its growth plans, AirTel is set to incorporate a host of next generation services such as unified messaging, WAP-based interactive content such as location aware services, mobile commerce transaction services, etc.On the OFC network front, the company has begun work in Bangalore city to lay approximately 100 kms of optical fibre.
Airtel is planning to launch the ``GSM on the Net service'' as part of its corporate service offering by next year. The service will offer closed user group services for corporates to integrate all their access and mobile devices on LAN and WAN and link up with the wireless network, according to the company's chief technology officer Mr TK Anand Kumar. VPN facility on the wireless network for corporate users will also be made available.
``Once the corporate users are on this service, they will be accessible across the entire network. We will also offer simple numbering scheme to each of the mobiles within the corporate's closed user group,'' Mr Kumar said.
