Bombay HC rejects Kher's plea seeking injunction against ZeeThe Bombay High Court on Wednesday rejected the petition filed by Mr Anupam Kher, film actor and host of game show Sawal dus Crore Ka, seeking an injunction to restrain Zee Telefilms Ltd from discontinuing with the programme without him as a host. After hearing both the parties at length, Justice K K Baam rejected the petition on the ground that such dispute could only be decided in an arbitration. Since nothing survived in the petition, it was disposed of by the court. Anupam is now free to refer the matter to arbitration or prefer an appeal against this order.Satyam Manufacturing bags $200-million order from TRW Satyam Manufacturing Technology Inc, a joint venture between Satyam Computer Services Ltd and the US-based $17 billion TRW Inc, has received a purchase order amounting to $200 million from TRW. The joint venture will provide information technology, engineering consulting and professional services to TRW.
KBC plans special episode every month
Kaun Banega Crorepati is planning to bring in innovation by having special episode every month in the coming year. These episodes will be for special categories such as Indian Armed Forces, state specials, women, senior citizens, teachers, physically challenged and industrial workers. The phone lines will open shortly for four specials-Indian Armed Forces ; Jammu and Kashmir State Special; Tamil Nadu State Special; and Women's Special. The lines for the Indian Armed Force episode will be open from December 26 to 27; J&K Special from December 27 to 28; TN Special from December 28 to 29; and Women's Special from December 29 to 30.
Shonkh Tech plans Rs 160-cr expansion
E-governance company, Shonkh Technologies International Limited is planning to invest nearly Rs 160 crore within the next five months to expand its operations. The company, which is already working with the Gujarat and West Bengal state governments, will use the additional investments to cater to the e-governance requirements of four other state governments in India, said Mr Ravi Kirshnamoorthi, director - business development, Shonkh Technologies.
