Rockwell to spin off communications, avionics units
Rockwell International Corporation (NYSE:ROK) announced that its board of directors has approved in principle the tax-free spin-off of its Rockwell Collins avionics and communications business unit to shareowners. The result of this transaction will be creation of two strong, publicly traded companies, each focused on its own customers, products and markets.PTC receives $6m order for software and services from NWC of US PTC, the product development company, announced that it received a $6 million order from the US Department of Energy's Nuclear Weapons Complex (NWC), for its software and services. The NWC is responsible for the design, engineering, and manufacturing of our nation's nuclear weapons components. The software was shipped during PTC's first fiscal quarter (ended December 30, 2000).
NACT to hold eLearn 2001
National Association of Computer Trainers (NACT) will organise eLearn 2001 on January 12. eLearn is an attempt at remote learning that is being offered as an interactive medium with flexibility. This conference will focus on understanding and the implementation of emerging technology.
