Chennai: The Chennai-based SSI Ltd on Friday announced an `Education Alliance Agreement' with Oracle Software India Ltd for providing joint certification programmes in Oracle foundation modules and Java Developer programmes. The certification programme would be offered through all the SSI centres across the country, a statement issued by the company here said.Under the agreement, Oracle would provide licensed software and upgrades to all SSI centres and sign all certification for these programmes.
"SSI has an ongoing relationship with Oracle in both its education and software development initiatives. This alliance strengthens our commitment to partner with industry leaders to add value to each of our services", Mr Kalpathi S Suresh, chairman and CEO of SSI Ltd said.
He said the alliance gives SSI students the additional credibility of an Oracle joint certification thus placing them at a significant advantage. The Rs 245 crore SSI Ltd offers software education, development and consulting solutions through its divisions, SSI Education and SSI Technologies.
