New Delhi, Jan 7: Andhra Pradesh (AP) is likely to finalise over 60 projects worth Rs 28,163.15 crore during the `7th Partnership Summit' in Hyderabad from January 9-11.The state government's industry and commerce department, including APIIC alone, proposes to finalise 14 projects worth Rs 12,569.7 crore during the summit, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said in a statement. CII is the organiser of the summit.
"One of the key project being that of Special Economic Zone at Vizag-Kakinanda belt, with an envisaged investment of Rs 10,000 crore. Setting up of Hardware Park on 5,000 acres of land, two mega-industrial parks - Apparel Park and Export Promotion Industrial Park are among others that would be finalised by the industries and commerce department of Karnataka," CII said. Approximately, Rs 2,663.7 crore has been estimated to be invested in the tourism sector at Karnataka. The 14 other projects include establishment of Disney Land at Hyderabad on 3,000 acres of land, night safari parks, bird park, 17 beach resorts and visitors' zone at Tirupati, the statement said. Twenty one information technology (IT) related projects will attract an investment of Rs 2,384.75 crore, it added.
