Kotak Group nine-month profit at Rs 49.2 crore

Mumbai, Jan 15: The Kotak Mahindra Group has posted Rs 49.2 crore as profit after tax for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2000, against Rs 35.8 crore in corresponding period of the previous year. Profit before tax stood at Rs 82.8 crore (after eliminating minority interests), up from Rs 56.9 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Kotak Mahindra Finance (KMFL) board met on Monday to consider the third quarter unaudited results for the period ended December 31, 2000.KMFL's standalone net profit for the nine-month period is Rs 36.73 crore against Rs 17.98 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Profit before tax is Rs 52.23 crore (Rs 32.48 crore). KMFL's standalone net profit for the third quarter is Rs 10.4 crore against Rs 10.33 crore for the corresponding period last year.
