MRTPC to hear Microsoft case today

Bajaj Auto Finance Ltd (BAFL) has posted a net profit of Rs 5.65 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2000, against Rs 5.31 crore for the corresponding period last year. Income from operations for the quarter stood at Rs 23.61 crore as against Rs 17.86 crore for the same period previous year.
CESC unit
The Titagarh thermal power station of CESC Ltd has been awarded the ISO 9002 certification. The 4X60 mw unit, commissioned in 1983, was audited by the certification body of RWTUV before the issuance of the certificate, a company release said in Kolkata on Monday. The unit has a consistent record of power generation with 80 per cent plant load factor (PLF) during April-December, 2000, the release said.
Hikal's Q3 profit up
The Mumbai-based Hikal Ltd has recorded a marginal 8.40 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 5.04 crore for the third quarter ended December 2000, compared to Rs 4.65 crore in same period during previous fiscal. The sales for third quarter stood at Rs 26.49 crore as against Rs 24.92 crore in the same period last year, the company said in a release said here on Monday.
Ion Exchange
Ion Exchange Ltd (IEL) has launched a state-of-the-art containerised drinking water treatment system, Indion, to meet emergency requirements of potable water during natural calamities. The system was capable of treating any type of surface or high salinity ground water to produce drinking water, the company said in a release.
