Mumbai, Jan 15: Ruchir Sharma will takeover as the chief investment officer (CIO) of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Investment Management (MSDWIM), India. Mr Sharma will replace Mr Vinod Sethi and his responsibilities would include managing the Morgan Stanley Growth Fund. Mr Sethi has decided to leave the firm at the end of the month. Mr Sharma has been an active member of the global emerging markets team at MSDWIM since 1996. He would continue to work closely with New York-based Robert Meyer, managing director and head of emerging market equities and his team. In a press statement released on Monday, MSDWIM said that it does not anticipate any material impact on the Fund's performance or investment strategy as a result of the change in management.
