Anti-corruption Website unveiled

Chandigarh: Compact Disc India Limited, a Chandigarh-based listed company has launched a Website on corruption with the aim of "eliminating corruption from public life and aspiration to see a transparent and efficient India in the 21st century." The Website, www.corruptionindia.com, according to Suresh Kumar, managing director of Compact Disc India Limited, is the first "systematic attempt to correct the system. All honest citizens have a fairly good idea about who is corrupt and who is not and who has managed to go scot-free for one reason or the other." He said that people had become indifferent towards corruption as they knew that corrupt people would always escape the dragnet. the Website assures that none of the corrupt people rest in peace. The Website has a unique complaint box in which a person can make complaints against any corrupt official and gets rewards in cash and kind. Even anonymous complaints will be entertained, but no rewards will be given in this case. The Website is also conducting opinion poll surveys on the ten most corrupt people and ten most corrupt departments in India. This opinion poll will carry cash prizes upto Rs three lakh in each category.
