Tips Industries profit dips 23%
Tips Industries has reported a decline of 23 per cent in its net profit for the third quarter ended December 31. The net profit for the period stands at Rs 5.97 crore against Rs Rs 7.79 crore for the corresponding period last year. Net sales for the third quarter is Rs 28.29 crore compared to Rs 23.33 crore resulting in an increase of 21 per cent. The lower net profit has been attributed to an increase in depreciation costs from Rs 0.4 crore for the third quarterlast year to Rs 4.93 crore for this quarter.Boston net up
Boston Education and Software Technologies has reported a 194 per cent increase in its net profit for the third quarter ended December 31. The net profit for the nine-month period ending December 31 stood at Rs Rs 2.12 crore and revenues were Rs 19.28 crore.
Wipro CEO elected
Mr Vivek Paul, CEO, Wipro Technologies and vice-chairman Wipro Ltd, has been elected director on the board of the California Chamber of Commerce for a three-year term with effect from January 1.

BHL Q3 net up
Bharat Hotels Ltd declared Rs 6.5 crore net profit over Rs 22.35 crore sales tunover for the third quarter ended December 31, posting 17 per cent and 7.3 per cent growth respectively over the corresponding period in 1999.
