Fieo prepares action plan to double exports

New Delhi, Jan 17: The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (Fieo) has prepared an action plan to double the country's exports from the estimated $32 billion in 2000-01 to $66 billion 2004-05 and to $115 billion in 2007-08. The increase envisaged is 20 per cent annually.To achieve the projected growth, the Fieo is working on a medium term strategy which will focus on diversification of the export basket as well as the destinations and inclusion of more value added products.
