Chennai : Discovery Channel is airing a series entitled Stephen Hawking's Universe, in which world-renowned scientist and the best-selling author of A Brief History of Time Mr Stephen Hawking will explain the theories that probe the very essence of universe.The 24-hour pay channel is also showcasing the scientist's work as a part of its `Discovery Profile Series.'
The six part series will be aired from February 11-16, 2001, at 11 pm. The episodes include: Seeing is believing (Where did we come from?), In the beginning (Did the Universe have a beginning?), Cosmic Alchemy (What is the Universe and everything in it made of?), On the dark side (What is the destiny of the Universe?), Black holes and beyond (Are black holes real?) and An answer to everything (Is there a theory that will encompass everything in the known Universe?).
Mr Hawking explains these complicated topics, with a lot of wit and enthusiasm, so that everyone can understand them, said a press release.
