DPC supply to go up to 85% of PLF by Dec -- Crisil subsidiary
CAS, a division of the credit rating agency Crisil, in a recent report, has said that the despatch levels of Dabhol Power Company to the loss-making MSEB is expected to be at least up to 85% PLF after the commissioning of Dabhol phase-II by December-end.

IPA asks FM to reduce import duty on chemicals
IPA, in its pre-budget memorandum to the finance minister, has suggested that the import duty on all organic and inorganic chemicals be brought down substantially below the duty of finished paints, which is pegged at 35%.

Net profits of 164 companies spurt 26.7 per cent in third quarter
Last week, the third quarter results of 116 companies were received. The total net profit of these companies rose by 16.% to Rs 2,011 crore in October-December, 2000 from Rs 1,732 crore in the corresponding period previous year.
