Bangalore: Parametric Technology Corporation's Internet product Windchill has posted a sales turnover of $175 million, a year of its introduction in the global market. Briefing the media in Bangalore on Thursday, PTC India managing director Kishore Rao said, "windchill has surpassed all other Internet ERP products in the global market." Windchill currently has 12 customers including Airbus and HP, while its CAD CAM product ProEngineer has over 600. Mr Rao said the company had decided to be very bullish on Indian market with Windchill and ProEngineer. ProEngineer would bring down the design time by 30 per cent, which ultimately will help take a product much faster to the market. "But a combination of Windchill and ProEngineer will bring down both product design time and production time considerably," he said. PTC India currently has a 45 per cent share in the high end CAD CAM market as against 40 per cent globally.Copyright © 2001 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
