Even as Air-India awaits an approval from the department of the public enterprises for its voluntary retirement scheme, it has already been successful in cutting down its wage bill by natural attrition.

Shaw Wallace to repay 106 creditors on January 31
Shaw Wallace & Co Ltd will be repaying 106-odd creditors on Jan 31, according to a notice issued by court-appointed officers. The payments follow an order by a Calcutta HC judge and cover only those creditors who had moved the court to recover inter-corporate deposits given to the liquor major.
