Conference on TDIL from today

New Delhi : In an initiative to streamline the use of technology in Indian languages for computers, the ministry of Information Technology in convening a three day conference from January 23 to draw up an action plan to implement Technology Development in Indian Language (TDIL). The conference will focus to create and access multilingual knowledge resources and to develop information processing tools to facilitate human machine interaction in Indian languages.According to press statement, the meeting is also expected to discuss measures to promote the use of information processing tools for language studies and research. Discussions are also expected to focus on the consolidation of technologies thus developed for Indian languages and integrate them for innovative user products and services.
