Microtek plans to up capacity by one million

Sonepat : Microtek International, a player in the monitor market, plans to add an additional one million monitor manufacturing capacity to its existing monitor manufacturing plant at Kundli in Sonepat district of Haryana. The company already has, according to its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Rajesh Gupta, plans to invest Rs 7 crore immediately to augment its production. This investment is in addition to another Rs 6 crore being invested to set up a state-of-the-art injection molding facility in the Kundli project. Mr Gupta told The Financial Express on Monday that Microtek International had, so far, set up four units in the country two at Parwanoo (Himachal Pradesh), one in Delhi and one at Kundli presently manufacturing one million monitors per annum. Mr Gupta claims that Microtek was the only company which had comprehensive indigenous manufacturing and research development facilities of its own and has procured the ISO 9002 certification. The speed with which computerisation is taking place in variousprocesses, Microtek International hopes to further its market-share and face the competition in colour and monochrome monitors.
