Datanet Systems in pact with Spyrus
Bangalore-based Datanet Systems Ltd has tied up with Spyrus Inc of USA for smart card readers -- models PAR 2 and PORTICO. The PAR 2 (personal access reader 2) is a very small card reader (50 grams) with a keypad, display, serial port and calculator functions and is programmable. It is ideally suited for individuals to carry out the e-purse applications. Datanet's software makes it possible to download e-cask on the card with this reader over the telephone line or the PC.
