Tata Tea Q3 net dips 49.4%

Mumbai, Jan 22: Tata Tea, the largest manufacturer of tea in the country, has registered a 49.41 per cent drop in net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2000. The company registered a net profit of Rs 15.45 crore as against Rs 32.52 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Total income was down by 17.69 per cent to Rs 202.08 crore compared to Rs 245.54 crore in the same quarter last year.
