SBI notification to BSE State Bank of India (SBI) has notified to the BSE that the SBI has been advised by the ICICI - the local custodian of the Bank of New York - the Depository outfit for SBI's Global depository receipts (GDRs) that 1,89,964 equity shares underlying to GDRs have been released by them in different dates. 20,000 shares on December 21, 2000, 10,000 shares on December 22, 40,000 shares on December 26, 70,000 shares on December 29, and 49,,964 shares on January 2, 2001.Syndicate Bank net up Syndicate Bank has recorded net profit of Rs 212.81 crore for the nine months period ended December 31, 2000 as against net profit of Rs 215.65 crore earned by the bank for the whole of 1999-2000. The deposits and advances of the bank have risen to Rs 24,064 crore and Rs 13,000 crore respectively at the end of December 2000. The total business of the bank has crossed Rs 37,000 crore.
