HLL consolidates Lakme, Pond's ad accounts
Close on the heels of awarding its entire media buying and planning accounts to MindShare, Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) has now consolidated the creative advertising accounts of leading brands, Lakme and Pond's. The company has consolidated the advertising account of Lakme with Ambience D'Arcy and that of Pond's with O&M.

Japanese consortium bags Petronet EPC contract
Petronet LNG Pvt Ltd has awarded IHI - a Japanese consortium - the equipment, procuring and construction (EPC) contract for the Rs 4,600 crore worth liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal project at Dahej in Gujarat.

Khusrokhan appointed Tata Tea MD
Former Glaxo India Ltd's managing director Homi R Khusrokhan will take over as MD of Tata Tea Ltd (TTL) with effect from February 15, 2001. The company board also approved the elevation of existing executive director PT Siganporia to the post of deputy managing director and appointed V Venkateswaran as executive director who till recently was president of Tata Tea Inc.

Brokers' pool accounts to go from April 2
The Securities and Exchange Board of India's (Sebi) sub-group on brokers' pool accounts on Tuesday prepared a blue print for putting an end to the pool accounts system by March-end, by making it mandatory for the clearing members to transfer such shares directly to client accounts from April 2, 2001.
