DishnetDSL launches broadband schemes
Our eFE Bureau
Chennai : Dishnetdsl Limited has launched two new broadband plans - `Easy Try' and `Cyber Student' - for providing high speed Internet access to Indian homes and students at affordable rates with its `Spice in Ice' offer. It will use digital subscriber line (DSL) technology that does not utilise the telephone network for Net access. Easy Try is meant for homes and small businesses with a low entry price of Rs 9,990. After experiencing the advantages of broadband connectivity for six months, the subscriber can choose to continue by paying the balance installation charges spread over the next six months. Some of the most powerful applications on the Net like interactive distance learning, audio streaming, video streaming etc require high speed connectivity for which conventional dial-up connection is inadequate. Cyber Student offer is available at an entry price of Rs 6,990.The ISP's offer provides two options for the usage charge. While light users will incur almost zero recurring cost, which will be more economical than even the cost of dial-up connectivity, the ceiling is fixed for heavy users to enjoy unlimited Net access at affordable rates.
