Tata Liebert to go global with hi-tech goods

Chennai, Jan 24 : Tata Liebert Ltd (TLL), the Rs 1-billion power protection equipment manufacturer, is gearing up to make a foray into the global market. The company would soon come out with a slew of high-end technology products, to cater to the needs of global giants, a senior company official said here. He was launching the `Ultra Care' range of products in Chennai.He said the company, which was incorporated in 1993, has crossed several milestones in both financial and quality fronts. The company's turnover has touched the benchmark Rs 1-billion mark as on last financial year and is hopeful of maintaining the performance this year as well.

He said after establishing its firm in the Indian turf, the company is now on the move to capture the global market. With this aim in view, TLL would soon roll-out new high-end technology products, that match global quality standards, he added.

Tata Liebert is a 50:50 joint venture between the Tatas and the Liebert Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Emerson Electric of the US, a Fortune 500 company. Liebert has the rare track record of adding value to shareholders' wealth, by enhancing the EPS on a quarter-to-quarter basis for the past four decades.

TLL is the leader in the Indian high-end power protection equipment market. The company manufactures and markets a whole range of power protection systems including UPS, and precision air-conditioning systems. The company has a product range that cut across all segments of the market.
