The Fourth R to set up 100 learning centres

Chennai: The Fourth R India, a computer education company, plans to set up 100 learning centres in the country during 2001. It has 55 centres all over the country. The centre would be on a franchise basis, said M Krishna Sai, director of the company. Each franchisee would have six to eight machines and incur an initial investment cost of Rs 7 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. The franchisee can retain 85 per cent of the revenues while Fourth R would get the remaining. The company provides computer education to school children and plans to target office staff also. It plans to participate in various state government initiatives to provide computer education and will tender its bids for such programmes.
