Hari S Kartha
Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 25: Kerala efforts to project the state as an IT destination has received a major setback with the helmsman of the premier promotional agency dubbing the tall claims of the regional IT sector as hollow and humbug. As the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation MD Jijy Thomson prepares himself for an open campaign to expose the lop-sided policy and wrong priorities of the government, his fellow bureaucrats heading the IT department and their political bosses are quite annoyed.Top sources in the state government hold the view that the senior IAS officer will have to pay a high price for his non-conformity. Mr Thomson reiterates that Kerala is nowhere in the IT map. Copyright © 2001 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
