Deepak Nitrite net dips 94% 

 
Deepak Nitrite's net profits crashed by 94 per cent to Rs 16.99 lakh during the quarter ended December 2000 from Rs 2.68 crore for the corresponding period last year. This is despite a 17.36 per cent rise in sales during the third quarter. The company has attributed fall in profits to heavy dumping and substantial rise in raw material and fuel prices which could not be passed on to the customers.
