C-DAC unveils ISM2000
The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has launched ISM2000, the latest in the series of software that provides Indian language support in IT through its Graphics and Intelligence based Script Technology (GIST). Digital India has announced that it has been selected by Unilever as an off-shore delivery partner. Through this engagement, Digital India will assist Unilever's Global Infrastructure Organisation (GIO) in setting up off-shore Indian operations to provide a desktop software packaging service for use by the centralised distribution function at GIO infrastructure centres.
Deutsche Software's new centre inaugurated
Bangalore-based Deutsche Software Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Deutsche Bank Group, has inaugurated its new development centre in Bangalore. The new 50,000 sq feet centre established at an investment of Rs 20 crore can accommodate 550 software professionals and has dedicated satellite communication links to Singapore and Germany.
