Systech Sol offers data warehousing, mining solutions for Indian bankers

Chennai : Systech Solutions Pvt Ltd, the Indian arm of the US-based Systech Solutions Inc, plans to provide data warehousing and data mining solutions to the Indian banking industry. The focus area will be in providing tools to cull out information from the bank data, to tackle the non-performing asset issue. The solution `Banking Insights', is based on the MicroStrategy platform, said Mr Sridhar Ramaswamy, managing director, Systech India.The company has made presentations to many nationalised banks, and they have evinced keen interest in the solution. Also, there has been a recommendation to banks by the Vasudevan Committee that they start the pilot projects for data warehousing by April 2000. Systech has worked with international oufits like American Express in the financial services niche. It has customised the solution to suit Indian conditions. The solution is Web-enabled and reports can be generated based on client requirements. The company's clients in India include Ashok Leyland Ltd and IM Gears. The company has has also developed solutions for the manufacturing, retail and healthcare sectors. It has 80 professional on board and plans to scale up to 180 by the year-end.
