New Delhi, Feb 12: Tata Steel is gearing up to find new vistas of applications as part of the company's strategy to service new areas like automobiles and white goods sector."We are constantly looking for new and emerging areas of applications like providing auto grade steel to the automobile sector and outer panels to the white goods industry thereby providing for import substitution", Sanjay Singh, chief of corporate communication, tata Steel said on Monday at the preview of the company's designed pavillion at the forthcoming India Engineering Trade Fair (IETF) here from February 15.
The company has roped in Maruti, Hyundai and its group company TELCO as its customers. Tisco's designed pavillion - Styellennium Odessey - which will showcase the company's vision and agenda for reshaping the future, has been put up at a cost of over Rs 2.2 crore and is 85 per cent recyclical.
